I John 5:20 “And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.”
Have you ever woke up at 2 a.m. and wondered why? You look at the clock and listen to the quiet but then suddenly you know why you are awake.
God wants to talk to you. Your Heavenly Father, Abba Daddy, has something important to say.
Remember He doesn't sleep; He watches over us and never sleeps nor slumbers.
But He has something to tell you and only you. If the message was for everyone, then he would send an earthquake, a tornado or maybe even just knock your power off for awhile. When the air conditioning doesn't come on and it's 90 degrees outside, that usually gets the family's attention.
But, no, that's not what is happening. You are awake at 2 a.m. because God, the maker of Heaven and Earth, the One who opened the Red Sea so the Israelites walked across on dry ground, the One who healed the sick and brought Lazarus back to life, yes, this God has something to say and He wants to say it to you.
You are very special to Him. I know that seems far-fetched and hard to believe but it is so true. "Whosoever" believes in Him. I love that word because I can take it out and put my name in its place. I am "whosoever".
How do I know this? 1John 5:21"hath given us an understanding that we may know him that is true..."
Understanding is defined as mental process of a person who comprehends;
1. personal interpretation
2. intellectual faculties; intelligence;
3. Superior power of discernment; enlightened intelligence
The phone usually doesn't ring at 2 a.m.
Neighbors usually don't come knocking at your door at 2 a.m.
Kids usually don't need your attention at 2 a.m.
You are usually not at work at 2 a.m.
God isn't stupid. He knows exactly the right time, the perfect time to come calling. He loves you. Wake up and hear his voice.
Psalms 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.”
This is the God who wants to have a quiet chat!
