What to do…What to do??
Acts 9:6a “And he trembling
and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?”
Our pastor preached from this passage
a while back. This verse and
particularly the phrase “Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?” has stuck with
me. This is when God met Saul on the
road to Damascus. Saul,
who had been a persecutor of Christians, had just been converted to their
Christ. He immediately opens himself up
to the will of God. His testimony
throughout the rest of his life shows that he continued with that mindset. “Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?” What a testimony!!
As Christians, we should all desire
to do and be in God’s will. Romans 12:2
says “And be not conformed to this world:
but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and
perfect, will of God.”
The will of God is good, acceptable
and perfect. Doesn’t that sound like a
place we want to be? We should daily
yield ourselves to Him by saying “Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?”
