Be the Difference

Today, I find myself grieving with a heavy heart for families tormented by the broken, flawed justice systems in our nation. At the same time I find I must quell the anger inside of me at the manipulative and inflammatory display we see daily from the news media! Christ, the Bible, and the NT Church are the only sources that can deliver the answers to these complex issues! Biblical illiteracy is the #1 problem we have in our world today. People simply DO NOT KNOW the Bible or the God of It. Only you can change that!

Rather than isolating yourself and blockading yourself behind your defenses today, let's defy the system!! Let's reach across the aisle with an extended hand of peace and welcome to those with whom we fundamentally disagree, and then listen rather than speak. Let's decide that we are going to stop this foolish, short-sighted, hasty judgment of situations, and begin looking at every life involved as precious!

You are not alone in this! Read the life story of King David and see how his government mistreated him. Read the story of Joseph, son of Jacob, and see how God worked through adversity and a broken home to promote him. Also, consider Christ! John 1:11 "He came unto his own, and his own received him not."

We can all expose the flaws, short-comings, and mistakes in the lives of others, but the better person will first recognize those in his own life. To be dreadfully cliché, "Be the difference you want to see in the world!"
