Thoughtful Thursday: Knowing the Author

Knowing the Bible is one thing.
Knowing the Author is another.

The Bible was written as a love letter from God to you and I.  If here on earth, someone wrote the most wonderful, love-filled letter, could you be able to read it and not care to know about the person that poured their heart and soul into it?  I can’t imagine so!  Let’s take time as we’re reading God’s Word, to get to know Him a little better.

Psalm 119:18 - Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.

II Timothy 3:16 - All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Philippians 3:10 - That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

Romans 11:33 -O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
Vs 34 - For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?
Vs 35 - Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?
Vs 36 - For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

Ephesians 1:17 - That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

Colossians 1:10 - That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
