Psalms 100:4 -“Enter into his
gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him,
and bless his name.”
Last week we started breaking down
this verse and using it to remind us of some things we should be thankful
for.
“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving…”
-The church
-Religious freedom
-The Gospel
The next part of the verse says “…and into his courts with praise…” This
could still be referring to the temple or the church, but I believe it is also
referring to anytime we are in the presence of God. We should enter into His presence with
praise. I read somewhere that there are
approximately 250 commands/statements in the Bible for us to praise the Lord. We should praise Him for His goodness. We should praise Him for His mercy. We should praise Him for His love towards
us. We should praise Him for who He is. We should strive to continuously praise the
Lord.
In Psalms 34:1, David says “I will
bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.”
