Modesty
The word modesty doesn’t just mean covering
what is supposed to be covered. It has more to do with an attitude toward how
we dress, and what God thinks of what we wear. The Bible has a lot to say about
covering our bodies.
Genesis 3:7
Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

The Lord was
not happy with the clothes Adam and Eve made for themselves; leaves just didn’t
cover enough, so He killed an animal to make clothes that covered more.
Genesis 3:21
Wearing the
right kind of clothes, doesn’t just speak of our modesty, but it reveals our
dignity. What you wear says a lot about you. What are your clothes telling
others?
