Monday's Message: Listening for the Shout

When the Lord God of heaven reveals to us a truth, it cannot be more true than this.  We read in John 14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
So this is truth in person revealing to us a great and wonderful truth, which before this time was a mystery!
I Corinthians 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52  In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53  For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54  So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55  O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56  The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57  But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 ¶  Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
To Adam, Abraham, Moses, David, and all of the other Old Testament saints, or Believers, this truth was a mystery; but the dear Lord reveals it to us; very matter of fact!
First, we will not all go by way of the grave: (we shall not all sleep)  this word is used interchangeably in the word of God; meaning to rest, or to die.  Obviously here, it means to die.
The next prophesied event that will take place, is the rapture of the church, or all of the saved.  And we read in vs. 52; it will happen in a moment:[ any moment] in the twinkling of an eye!  In anyone’s book; that’s fast!    I hope you are ready to hear the sound of that trumpet, and to hear the voice of the archangel;[ as we read in I Thessalonians 4:16]
A dear friend of mine used to say often: “it’s time to stop looking for the sounds and start listening for the shout!”
