Thoughtful Thursday: Kindness is a language

Colossians 3:14 says “And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

Webster’s 1828 dictionary defines charity as universal good will to men.  All men.

We have all heard the saying “Love is a universal language”, which is true, but it is most definitely the case for kindness as well.  A kind gesture can be delivered regardless of location, felt regardless of age and interpreted regardless of language.  Don’t let who you are or who someone else is keep you from doing a kind thing.

Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.     -Mark Twain
